This is one of the first, actually it’s the first ever cake I made. I saw it in a Jane Asher book and a friend picked it to be a present for his wife’s surprise 40th birthday. In was made up of a 12″ Zingy Lemon Madeira, 10″ Chocolate Madeira and a 6″ Chocolate, Orange Cake. It went down a treat.

It was covered in white fondant and many, many boxes of smarties.
